Summit NT®, Summit Pro®, ACU-3®, RRE-1®, RIM®, and RRE® are products of ISS (Integrated Security solutions) an Edwards/SPX Company.
HID® Proximity Readers are a product of HID Corporation.
Summit NT® is a premier software package that provides a total security solution for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities. Summit NT® integrates functions of many different security subsystems into one single cohesive and effective system the system. It is based on the Windows 2000 Server® operating system. The database is built on SQL Server®. This provides a solid foundation for the access control system. Summit NT® is capable of controlling up to 2000 readers. Options like elevator floor control, photo badge printing, CCTV control, alarm paging interface, and Multi System enhance the system to further heights. Summit NT® is TCP/IP compliant and can be implemented over the corporate LAN/WAN. Communication between the server and remote sites can be accomplished in many ways including, RS232/RS485, ISDN, Dialup PSTN, dedicated lines, or over TCP/IP on your LAN.
Summit PRO® is an entry level software program. Summit Pro® software is available in configurations of 8,16,32, & 64 readers. This allows the end user's system to expand as required. If required, the system can be upgraded to Summit NT® at a later date by simply upgrading firmware and software. Summit PRO® is TCP/IP compliant and can be implemented over the corporate LAN/WAN. Communication between the workstation and remote sites can be accomplished in many ways including, RS232/RS485. ISDN, Dialup PSTN, dedicated lines, or over TCP/IP on your LAN.
The ACU-3® is the controller in the field capable of controlling up to eight doors. The ACU® is an autonomus control unit, meaning once programmed it will continue to control the doors even if the computer/software becomes disconnected from the system. On board are auxiliary output relays and input points to further enhance the controllers functionality.
The reader electronics controls the individual door. The card reader, exit device, door lock, and door contact all connect to this device. As well, two auxiliary input points can be used for monitoring of any devices.
- This module provides 16 additional input points for monitoring various types of alarms. Devices like door contacts and environmental alarms can be tied into these points.
- This module provides 16 additional relays for elevator floor control, or general purpose outputs such as locking devices, lights, or fans.
HID® proximity readers are our card reader of choice for many reasons. These readers are tough and handle the extremes of our climate. The cards are durable and give the added convenience of not having to be swiped through the reader, they merely have to be in the presence of the reader to grant access. Cost is another factor, the readers are inexpensive. Other styles of readers are available including Biometric, and palm readers for higher security needs.
